We will walk through the process of creating coupons in this article.

Step 1. Log in to your AHQ account.

Step 2. In the navigation bar on the left, you should see a tab labeled Accounting with a dollar bill icon . Click it!

Step 3. This will open up immediately on the Transactions tab. Navigate across and click the Coupons option.

 

Step 4. Press the button on the far right of the page to create a new coupon.

Now complete the details for your new coupon by entering the requested information:

• Name (what will you call the coupon)
• Description (brief explanation of your coupon)
• Coupon Code (Parents will enter this same code at checkout)
• Number of uses (decide the amount of time code can be utilized) 
• Number of Uses per person (how often each user can successfully apply the coupon code)
• Expiration Date (date after which code should no longer be used)
• Discount Amount (how many deductions will be applied at checkout)
• % or $ (allows you to give the parent a set percent or a dollar amount off the activity's cost)

Really give your coupon some personality with custom coupon codes, and usage restrictions, and link your coupon to specific activities. I'll include a detailed example below.

Step 5. After filling out the coupon details, navigate to the activities section, choose your activity and click the check box that applies. 

Important: Coupons cannot be used for payment plans. They can only be used for registration fees.

Step 6. In this section, you can also decide to select multiple activities to add your coupon by checking all the applicable boxes.

During checkout, the parent will have the option to apply the coupon by entering the exact name of the coupon code created in Step 4, then click the Apply button, followed by paying via a bank account or credit card card.
