We understand that taking attendance for your activity is very important, especially if you are using Attendance-Based Billing.

Important details to take attendance successfully:
- Activities must be published on your profile page.
- Must have at least one student enrolled.
- The "Continuous Enrollment' feature needs to be turned off. Find details in the Basics of the Activity Setup.

How To Take Attendance
This guide will walk you through the process of taking attendance in the Afterschoolhq application. You will learn how to access the Activity Center, navigate to the Extracurricular Activities section, manage attendance, view details, check-in/out, fill in attendance status, and save attendance records.
Go to afterschoolhq.com
1. Click "Activity Center"
Go to the Activity Center.
2. Click "Extracurricular Activities"
Navigate to the Extracurricular Activities section.
3. Click "Manage"
Access the Manage tab.
4. Click "Attendance"
This will take you to the activity summary page. Once there, click the ✔️ Attendance tab at the top of the page.
NOTE: This screen displays an overview of the attendance for your selected activity including how many times this activity has met, the attendance rate %, and the total of present and absent students per meeting.
5. Click "View Details"
Open the View Details page.
**You can also take a new attendance by clicking the Take Attendance button. This will open a new screen where you can mark which students are present and which are absent.**
6. Click "Select" to view Activity's scheduled dates to meet
Select the date of the activity from the drop-down list next to "Attendance Date."
7. Click on "Check In" to take attendance for students
Check in for the selected date.
- If your activity is set up as "Continuous Enrollment" you will not be able to select a date for your activity. Are you looking to extend the registration period for your activity while still keeping track of attendance? If so, you can achieve this by turning off the "Continuous Enrollment" feature and setting a "Closed Date" for the registration period. This way, you have flexibility in extending the registration period as much as you need while still ensuring attendance tracking.

8. Click "Save Attendance"
Save the attendance record.
9. Click "Save Attendance" again.
Confirm the attendance record.
Note: You can "Check Out" students for attendance purposes, and add notes to edit Check In/Check Out Times.
Check out for the selected date.
